Apple have announced the release of it’s new flagship mobile phone based on the iPhone 5, called the iPhone 5s, and also unveil a surprise ‘little brother’ model, the iPhone 5c – this is the first time that the Cupertino-based company have released 2 phones of the same series alongside each other – the iPhone 5c is meant as a more affordable model of the iPhone 5s and includes much of the same internal components as the older iPhone 5. The iPhone 5s on the other hand includes a batter quality camera, finger print recognition technology and a new internal chip that handles the gyro-metric and sensory data without using the main processor, extending battery life.
From Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Philip Schiller:
“iPhone 5c is everything iPhone 5 was and more, in an all-new design packed with great features… iPhone 5c is designed with a beautiful polycarbonate enclosure that looks and feels so solid in your hand.”
On the iPhone 5s:
“iPhone 5s redefines the best smartphone experience in the world with amazing new features all packed into a remarkable thin and light design, including the Apple-designed A7 64-bit chip, all-new 8 megapixel iSight camera with True Tone flash and introducing Touch ID, an innovative way to simply and securely unlock your phone with just the touch of a finger.”
